Applications are invited for the post of PDRA in the Department of Psychology

A Researcher is needed to work on a multi-stage study exploring depression in people living with chronic pain.

The Department of Psychology is looking to appoint a researcher to join a team of experts to carry out a multistage study exploring the diagnosis and treatment of depression in people living with chronic pain. The post is for 24 months, at 50%, starting in January 2021. The researcher will be the primary project manager throughout the study, which will involve liaising with the research teams in the participating institutions (Royal Holloway, Southampton and Keele Universities), and will prepare for the final stage, a pilot intervention in the NHS. This post will suit people experienced in carrying out research in NHS settings. A good grasp of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies is required. We are looking for someone with good attention to detail, understanding of multivariate statistics, and excellent people skills.

The research team includes experts from several disciplines. The study is led by Professor Tamar Pincus at Royal Holloway, and further details can be obtained from her directly, on t.pincus@rhul.ac.uk.
