CNRS International NTU THALES Research Alliance (CINTRA) invites applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose materials and nano-structure design for photonics devices and scintillators
- Develop models and conduct simulations for photonics or radiation related physics
- Conduct photo luminescence and optical characterizations
- Write reports for the projects related to light matter interaction and scintillator
- Write proposals for national level or grand challenge programme such as CRP
- Supervise postdocs/students/interns related to the projects
- Maintain the micro-photoluminescence setup at CINTRA
- Be involved in the safety in CINTRA as safety officer
Job Requirements:
- PhD holder in Applied Physics or Engineering from reputable university
- Minimum 8 years of experience in research with universities and companies
- Strong knowledge in optics and radiation related physics
- Skilled in optics and photonics modeling and simulation
- Skilled in free-space optics, fiber alignments, and handy in building optical setups

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
