Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Centre for Medical Ethics and Law (CMEL) to be appointed by the Faculty of Law (Ref.: 501727), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Law or a relevant discipline and a strong publication record. Those who do not yet have a Ph.D. degree but are close to completion will also be considered. Applicants should have excellent written and spoken English skills. Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese would be an advantage.
The appointee must be able to work independently, professionally, and to a high standard under time constraints. He/she is expected to devote his/her time mainly to research and knowledge exchange in the fields of bioethics or law topics that are related to health; help conduct research in these areas independently and collaboratively; help identify, plan and prepare funding applications for projects; commission and manage research projects and grants; edit, contribute to and publish academic and knowledge exchange publications; deliver presentations at conferences and other events; and disseminate knowledge to the legal, medical and other communities.
The appointee’s work will also entail research dissemination and knowledge exchange such as planning and organizing conferences, seminars and other events; editing and writing for the purposes of research dissemination and knowledge exchange; and assisting in maintaining CMEL’s online and social media presence. The appointee will work at the office of CMEL at the Faculty of Law premises at Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Centennial Campus of the University.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
