Project Officer

Job Details

School of Materials Science and Engineering is looking for a candidate to join them as a Project Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will play a crucial role in processing, characterization, property evaluation and application of new materials for new generation of energy storage devices.

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering /Science (Materials/Chemical/Mechanical/Nanotechnology/Physics/Chemistry)
  • Experience in various materials synthesis techniques
  • Experienced in materials characterization, electrochemical battery/supercap fabrication
  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate research work to other staff, management, and visitors
  • Knowledge of scientific or materials engineering software will be an added advantage. 
  • Prior experience in the field of research is an added advantage
  • An effective team player with good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
