Delta-NTU Corporate Lab invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

This position is related to the development of a cyber twin, which represents various processes of a factory in a smart manufacturing environment. It is part of a corporate lab initiative involving NTU and Delta Electronics, a leading electronics manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Research on the problem of data inconsistency between the physical system (plant sensors) and cyber twin (model predictions)
  • Research on potential applications for cyber twins including use-cases for CPS security
  • Participation and contribution to project reviews such as deliverables, review reports, and presentations

Job Requirements: 

  • PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Must demonstrate strong experience in one or more of the following areas:
  1. Modelling and simulating CPS based on various models of computation such as hybrid automata, ODEs, synchronous reactive, etc
  2. Background in formal semantics to capture interactions between different models of computation
  3. Background in application of control theory to CPS

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
