This is an exciting opportunity for a post-doctoral researcher to undertake and develop high-quality research in the area of youth mental health within the newly funded ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health at King’s College London, and to support the objectives of the Centre as set out at  The Centre is a cross-Faculty initiative between the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) and the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy (SSPP). 

The post holder will work specifically on our school based cohort study (REACH,, as part of Programme 1: Social Change, Transitions, and Youth Mental Health, with Professor Craig Morgan, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team of researchers based in the Centre, and with our national and international partners. We will develop research with young people to better understand trajectories of mental health through social transitions, including from adolescence to adulthood.   

The post holder will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience of conducting and coordinating school-based research with young people. The post-holder will have opportunities to develop fellowship applications, under the supervision of the PI, work with others to support the development of further externally funded research to support the objectives of the Centre, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, present at international conferences, and have opportunities to contribute to teaching and service within the Centre.
