Singapore Centre for 3D Printing invites applicants for the position of Project Officer

Job Description:

  • Manage day to day laboratory activities and  a team of researchers
  • Manage laboratory facilities and support research projects
  • Write and support research proposals
  • Support the administration of major research/industry projects to meet deliverables and KPI
  • Write and prepare communications content and interface with the industry
  • Ensure processes and procedures are executed in compliance to the University’s policy framework
  • Constantly seek improvement for laboratory operations (e.g. reduce cost and improve operational efficiency)
  • Carry out hands on experiments with the Selective Laser Melting (SLM)
  • Support to develop journal and conference articles
  • Coordinate and organise activities related to the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) (e.g. competitions, conferences and hosting visits)

Job Requirements:

  • B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with specialisation in Additive Manufacturing and Design
  • Possess Knowledge of manufacturing, engineering design, operations research, and experience in product design and manufacturing
  • Hands on research experience with manufacturing process
  • Strong leadership and supervision qualities
  • Good writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Dynamic, self-driven and results oriented
  • Good interpersonal skills

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
