The College is now seeking a Professor for Public Health. The position will provide academic leadership as the Discipline Group Lead, for the Public Health in research, teaching and community engagement to advance the discipline and its reputation as a centre of excellence, nationally and internationally.

Reporting to the Dean (People and Resources), the Professor in Public Health will work in close collaboration with the Director of the Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute (FHMRI) and the Dean (Education), This position will foster opportunities for Public Health to contribute to impactful research and education..

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience of inclusive leadership in Public Health, with the ability to create a positive people-supportive culture that fosters excellence in research, and teaching and learning. The appointee will have a personal track record of research in a Public Health field. Evidence of mentoring and supervising early to mid-career researchers is essential. Candidates should have the ability to foster and build opportunities for external engagement and strategic partnerships, including with industry, government and other external organisations.
