The Role

This Accounting University Tutor will play an important role in supporting the implementation of the School of Business’s strategy to deepen the level of support it provides students in their learning journey. Accounting Tutors primarily focus on supporting modules in the broad domains of financial accounting and reporting, taxation, management accounting, financial strategy and auditing. You will be expected to work with faculty, as well as independently, using your education background and practical experience to support the learning journey of our students.

Tutors work with faculty of modules to deliver tutorials that support students in the attainment of the learning objectives of a module, including delivery of tutorials, assessment and provision of student feedback. This University Tutor will support teaching, learning and education policy implementation on our undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including developing and implementing our strategy of delivering a high quality student learning experience through tutorials, industry engagement, work projects, business and career skills development amongst other interactions.

Please note that this is not a research position. There is no desire for nor expectation that the successful canidate will have or intends to undertake doctoral studies.

Salary

University Tutor: €36,737 – €47,609 p.a. (7 points) pro rata
Senior University Tutor: €48,541 – €54,647 p.a. (4 points) pro rata

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
