Energy Research Institute @ NTU invites applications for the position of Research Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work to characterize the energy management system of electric vehicles based on real time data
- Work on developing simulation model that represents the electric vehicle and vehicle energy storage system that can reproduce all the vehicle events
- Working on different Autonomous vehicle platform using Robotic Operating Systems (ROS) is desired including Python, Java
- Work on actuation system using autobox and others
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with background in energy storage and autonomous vehicles
- Strong technical skills in thermal modeling and battery characterization
- Well verse in Python, C++, C, ROS, Linux environment, TensorFlow, Matlab, Ansys, OpenCV, OpenFOAM, AutoCad, CATIA, rViz, Gazebo
- Deep knowledge and working experience in the use of MATLAB and other simulation tools such as Simulink, AmeSIM, and ANSYS, FLUENT or other related software

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
