Energy Research Institute @ NTU invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out building energy modelling, virtual audit and ACMV design using software like Energy plus, IES, etc
Job Requirements:
- Master degree in mechanical engineering, building performance or other related fields
- Proficient in ACMV design software such as HAP, energy simulation tools like IES VE and CFD simulation tool ANSYS Fluent
- Familiar with International design codes like British Standards, CIBSE, ASHRAE, and Singapore Standards
- Competency in AutoCAD and REVIT
- Knowledge in building services and experience in building automation industry is advantageous
- Expert knowledge of building energy modelling and HVAC system design and implementation
- Industry or research lab experience is required
- Working experience as M&E consultant on wide variety of project preferred
- Ability to develop energy simulations analysis for buildings
- Experience in simulation on Zero and Super low energy buildings and virtual energy audits for existing buildings
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
