Position Summary:

The Industry Program Director will provide project leadership and play a key role in the strategic development and implementation of a major program on the uptake and diffusion of innovative manufacturing technologies in shipbuilding and the supply chain, as part of a Flinders University and BAE Systems Australia joint research lab. The incumbent will manage activities associated with the application of advanced robotics, assistive manufacturing and readiness for industry 4.0 utilisation.

The incumbent will work generally unguided to provide leadership and undertake project management. Activities will include setting research goals, providing direction and supervision of the team, compiling test results and authoring key reports.

A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
