We are seeking for a well-motivated postdoc in one or both following areas of High Performance and Scientific Computing. The responsibility of the candidate will be to contribute research in at least one of the following:

  • Autotuning and automatic optimization methods for CPUs and GPU accelerators. We focus on dynamic autotuning, tuning space search methods using partial knowledge of program behavior under the different setup (e.g., different hardware or input). We are also interested in automatic source-to-source transformation methods enabling additional optimizations.
  • Improving the performance of scientific software from various fields by algorithm re-formulation, application of autotuning frameworks, task-based runtime systems, and source-to-source transformation methods. We can offer strong interdisciplinary background and collaborations in the area of computational chemistry (collaboration with Loschmidt Laboratories, Masaryk University) and cryo-electron microscopy (collaboration with Biocomputing unit, CNB CSIC).
  • Application of AI/ML/deep-NN in research in two directions related to the previous topics -- how to use the AI approaches in the optimization techniques, and how to apply the optimization methods to the AI techniques and algorithms.
