Job Description Summary
This is a staff position with the primary responsibility of performing diagnostic lab tests in the Clinical Lab at the George D. Widener Large Animal Hospital. Responsibilities include performance of lab tests, order entry/accessioning, analyzer maintenance, quality control, and administrative duties at the front desk. This position will also serve as backup inventory/ordering manager for the Clinical Lab supervisor.
Job Description
Perform lab tests in Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation and Cross match, Urinalysis, Cytology prep, and Blood Gases
Administrative coverage at front desk including order entry/accessioning, preparing samples for reference lab testing (send-outs), answering phones, and some billing management
Analyzer maintenance/troubleshooting, quality control/calibrations,
Inventory/ordering assistance
An Associate's Degree or two year college equivalent and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
