Overview

This opportunity is for someone with a background in defence and security research and will play a key role in the coordination of new research projects in the area of information warfare. You will be instrumental in coordinating people and processes to ensure that projects run efficiently and effectively to underpin the research and associated reporting requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have some background knowledge in related areas of information warfare, defence, national security, international affairs, operations research or scenario planning. You should enjoy liaising with key internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be able to gather and analyse the requirements for individual research activities and work closely with the relevant researcher to coordinate various aspects of related projects, including setting up study meetings, recruitment of study participants, maintenance of study databases and review of publications.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence. A police check may be required.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time, fixed term position (12 months) attracts remuneration of $ 79,757 to $86,176 (HEW6) plus 9.5% University superannuation contribution.
