Temporary Research Assistant in the lab of Assistant Professor Navin Kumar Verma.

We are currently recruiting a Temporary Research Assistant in the lab of Assistant Prof Navin Kumar Verma at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, a joint medical school between Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). A temporary Research Assistant is needed to contribute in biomedical research at LKCMedicine; which is one of the main overall mission/objectives of the school. He/she will be responsible for the development of antisense oligonucleotide (epAON) molecules as a skin lightening compound and experiments pertaining to molecular studies in melanocytes and other cell types relevant to the skin and pharmacology/toxicology studies in mice. He/She requires a Bachelor's degree for this position, experience in cell culture, biochemical and molecular analysis and imaging techniques. Experience in pharmacology and nanomedicine would be an advantage.

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
