Job Description

Provide management & supervision for the CryoEM Core; primary responsibilities include work in all phases of Electron Microscopy (EM) and cryo Electron Microscopy (cryo-EM) from sample preparation to expert operation & maintenance of electron microscope. Position includes some administrative duties including maintaining information for client billing; must direct the work flow of other lab members, must be able to teach Electron Microscopy techniques to others & be able to assist clients in designing & interpreting experiments.

  • Prepare samples for EM and cryo-EM examination and provide instruction using electron microscopes and various pieces of lab equipment
  • Consults and advises established and new internal and external clients on projects
  • Provides support on data analysis
  • Managing billing and project records
  • Advertises core capabilities to various potential user groups to help bring in new clients
  • Equipment repair and maintenance. Provide general lab management including assigning project work flow.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Master's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, PhD preferred.
