The Professor of Electromagnetic Systems and Security will, under broad supervision, provide academic leadership in research, teaching and community engagement in the engineering discipline. The position will provide outstanding leadership in the study of the science, technology, systems and methods of Electromagnetic Systems and Security.
This position is jointed funded by the University and the Department of Defence. The incumbent will have a leading role in the development of Flinders as a Centre of Expertise in the science, technology, systems and methods of Electronic Warfare.
They will be able and willing to take a strong leadership role with Early and Mid-Career Researchers. The Professor will advance the College in its reputation as a centre of excellence in education and research, both nationally and internationally, and advance the development of the engineering discipline.
Please note: Pursuant to Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA) this position has been deemed prescribed. It is an inherent requirement of the position that the successful candidate maintains a current Working With Children Check which is satisfactory to the University.
The incumbent is required to attain, and maintain, an Australian Security clearance level NV1 as determined under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
