CSM Enterprise has expertise in the areas of leadership and management development, international competitiveness, entrepreneurship, innovation, small business management and regional economic development. We work with organisations to understand strategic objectives and align our products and services to support organisational development and competitiveness.​

CSM Enterprise offers student work placements, project teams, research partnerships, sponsorship opportunities and executive development programmes. The School also operates an extensive business network including events and forums focusing on different subjects and sectors.

Cardiff School of Management is recruiting two posts to design and deliver content for the proposed ‘Circular Economy Collaborative Innovation Communities’ development programme as well as to assist in the recruitment of delegates and entities to the programme.

This is a collaborative programme of work to develop a regional innovation network and Communities of Practice in the Cardiff Capital City Region. The network will support participating public service organisations within the East Wales area to work collaboratively, access innovation knowledge and skills development opportunities and develop new methods, processes and tools to support innovation within their organisations.

The post requires a specialist knowledge of Circular Economy principles with experience in the design and delivery of innovation development programmes for leaders of enterprises. The post holder will develop teaching methods and workshop content appropriate to the transfer of knowledge for the leaders of public sector organisations. The post holders will be responsible for the promotion, design, delivery and educational evaluation and development of a range of activities to include action learning, taught modules, simulations, exercises and facilitated observational learning in innovation subject and topic areas. 

The post also requires the provision of academic pastoral and coaching support and guidance for programme attendees. The post holder will be expected to cooperate with programme partners at Swansea University and assist with the delivery of the programme to attendees in West Wales and the Valleys, where required.

Essential Criteria

A good honours degree

An earned doctoral level qualification in a relevant discipline.

Ability to achieve Fellow status as part of the HE Academy’s professional recognition scheme, within a three year period.

Lecturer

Knowledge of contemporary theory and learning materials relevant to developing Leaders in public sector entities

Knowledge of European Social Fund projects.

Knowledge of content and learning materials relevant to Developing Leaders in Innovation

Evidence of continuous professional development.

A sound understanding of research/innovation and scholarly activity.

Ability to develop teaching and/or research programmes and the provision of learning support.

Ability to design teaching and learning material.

Ability to employ appropriate assessment methods.

Ability to support the development of research objectives, projects or proposals.

Ability to employ appropriate methods for disseminating research findings.

Ability to contribute to the achievement of the School Development Plan and the development of other school activities.

Ability to undertake administrative duties in an accurate and timely fashion.

Ability to plan workloads and projects and manage resources effectively.

Ability to identify areas for improvement and to use initiative and problem solving skills to improve performance.

Ability to take responsibility for a number of key areas such as module tutor, research supervision.

Ability to communicate and disseminate complex and conceptual ideas in a variety of ways – presentations at conferences, reports on findings, publications, feedback etc.

Ability to develop productive working relationships as part of a professional team.

Ability to work collaboratively on research projects through the development of appropriate partnerships.

Experience of developing and delivering action learning activity.

Experience of engagement with public sector organisations and their leaders in a personal development capacity.

Excellent organisational skills, and ability to make extensive use of own initiative and discretion.

Evidence of team working skills and experience of delivering educational activity in a team context.

Excellent communication and networking skills.

Experience in the use and development of a range of learning methods and pedagogy, and familiarity in adapting those to different learning styles.

Experience of working with others in a supervisory/guiding/supporting/mentoring capacity.

Experience of attracting or generating funds/income through a variety of sources.

Willing and able to travel to attend meetings, project reviews and workshops across Wales.

Willing to work weekends and unsociable hours when required.
