The Faculty of Arts (http://www.LN.edu.hk/arts/) offers the best of liberal arts education to students who join us to pursue one of our distinctive BA (Hons) degrees. The Faculty encompasses seven Arts Departments, two language centres and several research centres. To foster innovative thinking and creativity, the Faculty will offer a new self-financed bachelor degree programme.

Faculty of Arts is looking for a specialist in digital animation to develop and teach a new BA major in animation and digital arts. The appointee is expected to teach a broad range of subjects, covering 2D and 3D animation, VR, animation history, interactive media, and computer arts.

General Requirements

Applicants should have a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or a PhD Degree in relevant fields and demonstrate expertise in at least two of the following areas:

  1. Animation production;
  2. Extended Reality;
  3. Game design;
  4. Art and Animation History; and
  5. Interactive media.

The applicant should also have experience in curriculum design and teaching, as well as good track record of publications or creative outputs. Proficiency in Chinese and English is essential.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee.

Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years.
