SUPERVISOR, CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE, Facilities-Maintenance and Utilities, Repair and Maintenance (R&M), to provide leadership and direction to assigned team members and contractors in repairing and maintaining all campus building’s mechanical equipment and systems. Will also provide information and guidance to tradespeople, supervisors, architects, and engineers looking to understand mechanical system operation.
Repair and Maintenance is responsible for 160 buildings within the campus portfolio consisting of approximately 13m GSF.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred); at least five years’ supervisory experience in building operations; expertise in one or more skilled trades, facilities management, or engineering discipline; background in a repair and maintenance setting overseeing mechanical, electrical and plumbing fields; direct experience in HVAC, refrigeration troubleshooting, and repair; demonstrated proficiency in job planning and execution; ability to manage work order backlogs and make good sound judgments when prioritizing daily work; excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills; experience with computer systems; ability to traverse in and around mechanical rooms and on rooftops; and demonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of academic, office, lab, and housing buildings. Must be available to respond to off-hour campus emergencies and to work any shift deemed appropriate due to operational needs.
