Job Details

Nanyang Business School (College of Business) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore seeks applications for the position of Research Assistant.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct the search for latest literature (i.e. legislation and other relevant material, case law, journal articles, etc) for the purpose of a literature review
  • Conduct legal research and writing in internet and platform governance, media and intellectual property law, artificial intelligence and the law, technology law etc.
  • Provide other assistance where required relating to the project

Job Requirements

  • A degree programme in law such as LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and/or JD (Juris Doctor) (i.e. currently undertaking an LLB or a JD)
  • Excellent command of the English language, as well as writing and communication skills
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Word, particularly in its referencing tools
  • Knowledge and interest in any of these research fields: internet law; media law; intellectual property law; or technology law

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
