Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in the Department of Law and Criminology.

The Department of Law and Criminology at Royal Holloway University of London is a forward thinking, multidisciplinary and research active department, where we offer undergraduate programmes in Law, Criminology & Psychology and Criminology & Sociology, together with Masters programmes in Forensic Psychology, Consumption, Culture & Marketing, Policing and Criminal Justice and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies.  The Department is also home to an energetic postgraduate research student community.

We seek an outstanding lecturer to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. Applicants should possess the broad range of skills needed to teach effectively, as well as extensive experience of core sociology and criminology teaching to assist within our existing programmes. Applicants should also be able to contribute to and develop the Department’s teaching portfolio at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

We have one full time, fixed term (11 months) post on offer, to include teaching a range of undergraduate core sociology subjects (particularly Introduction to Sociology, Criminal Justice System along with the Sociology of Contemporary Society and Social Policy and Social Problems). We also have a particular interest in candidates who are able to deliver a MA in Consumption, Culture and Marketing module in Sociology of Consumption. Applicants must have been awarded or be close to being awarded their PhD.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
