CUSTODIAN, Facilities-Custodial Services (part-time, temporary, 20 hrs/wk., multiple positions), to clean all assigned areas, including classrooms, laboratories, research facilities, conference rooms, lounges, bathrooms, hallways, stairwells, entryways, elevators, private offices, auditoriums, and gymnasiums. Will secure areas such as entrance and office doors; empty trash and recycling receptacles located inside buildings and place in bins and dumpster; clean and disinfect restrooms, including the fixtures; restock paper products and soap and remove used products; clean and polish furniture; clean chalk boards, chalk trays, and erasers; clean event spaces before and after; dry mop, wet mop, and vacuum floors; dust and spot clean walls and doors in high and low areas; clean and disinfect drinking fountains; clean interior windows and interior/exterior doorway windows; clean mirrors and other glass surfaces; and clean up water and debris due to leaks and floods with wet pick-up vacuums.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  two years’ relevant experience; ability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs. and push and pull tilt trucks that hold up to 100 lbs.; and ability to walk/stand for a majority of the shift, climb stairs, and perform custodial tasks. A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.  Personal protective equipment (PPD) must be worn as required by the specific assignment.  Job #18743

Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. 

This is a six-month assignment, which may be extended depending on operational/business needs.

Any custodian assigned to the day shift or an irregular shift, which includes weekends and holidays, must have a valid driver's license.

These are non-union positions.
