The University of Chicago: Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Description

The Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME) is a unique interdisciplinary school launched by the University of Chicago in 2011 with the aim of translating molecular and quantum science into technological solutions with potential societal impact in health and immunology, energy/water/materials and environmental sustainability, and quantum information technology. An independent unit within the university, PME is also affiliated with Argonne National Laboratory, and joint appointment is encouraged when appropriate.

Qualifications

PME invites applications for one or more faculty positions. Please see our website (https://pme.uchicago.edu/) for a description of some of the research themes highlighted in PME. We will consider applicants doing research appropriate for any of the themes, and indeed in any area of theoretical, computational, and experimental molecular and quantum engineering. We invite applications at the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field of study and have an outstanding research record. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and maintain a strong research program and to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Application Instructions

Applicants are required to upload a cover letter, curriculum vitae that includes a list of publications, and research and teaching statements.  Review of completed applications will begin on October 15, 2019, and will continue until the positions are filled. Please contact Heather Crews at hcrews@uchicago.edu with any questions.
