The Department is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to a part-time (0.6 fte), three-year, fixed term Lectureship (Education) in Counselling Psychology.

Responsibilities

The long-established Counselling Psychology doctoral programme enjoys a strong reputation in the Counselling Psychology community. Its diligent attention to students and the curriculum has resulted in a vibrant, dynamic learning environment which has been mutually rewarding for staff and students. Its lecturers are well-versed in and able to contribute to the programme’s clinical aspects. They deliver modules, evaluate assessments, act as personal tutors and undertake administrative duties at programme and Department levels.

The duties of the Lecturer include using a range of learning and teaching methodologies to foster a positive learning environment; assessing the effectiveness of course delivery; and maintaining a commitment to continuous performance improvement.

Person Specification

The appointed candidate will be a Practitioner Psychologist able and motivated to contribute to the delivery of a high quality programme on the Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology; and to the education, clinical expertise and administration of the Department.
