Assistant Research Officer/Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Assessment and Evaluation Coordinator) (2 posts) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 500295) (to commence on September 1, 2020, until December 31, 2021)

The appointees will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The project, started in 2015, aimed at improving the quality of end-of-life care, enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues.

For the post of Assistant Research Officer, applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree or above in Nursing, Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Counseling or related disciplines, with 5 years’ relevant experience in managing research, evaluation, professional training and public education of end-of-life care related projects in Hong Kong. Vigorous knowledge on end-of-life care service model building and end-of-life care service evaluation and analysis is compulsory.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and good track records in conducting and publishing research in relation to end-of-life care and/or mental health. The appointee is expected to oversee the assessment and evaluation of multiple end-of-life care programmes, engage in professional and public education programmes, coordinate other research-related tasks, and perform any other duties as assigned.

For the post of Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Assessment and Evaluation Coordinator), applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Allied Health, Counseling or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ relevant experience in undertaking research in relation to evaluative studies, cost-effectiveness analysis, and/or SROI analysis. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. The appointee is expected to involve in management of evaluation studies, data collection, data analysis, report preparation, supervision of research assistants, and perform any other duties as assigned.
