Detailed Description 

The EECS department in Khalifa University has an opening for research engineer in a machine learning and bioinformatics project with the goal of enhancing the performance of guide RNAs in CRISPR genome editing systems. You will integrate novel data encoding techniques and modern innovations in the deep learning machinery to achieve this goal. Develop novel deep learning models suitable for use in predicting the efficiency of guide RNAs in CRISPR genome editing systems. Publish research results in top-tier journals and at leading international conferences

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics or other related fields
• Proven record of accomplishment including first-authored publications in machine learning and/or bioinformatics
• Proficient in programming language like Python and Matlab
• Familiarity with a deep learning library.
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English

Required Experience

• 2+ years experience with programming language such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++.
