Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (Ref.: 499918), to commence as soon as possible, for one year initially and up to three years.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in Mental Health, Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or related disciplines, with strong leadership, scientific communication (written and oral), organizational, and team-building skills. They should have experience in community health promotion, and/or knowledge of the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in research.  They should also have the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team; the ability to work closely with external parties, including academics, social service groups, politicians, etc.; and excellent written and spoken communication skills.

The appointee will participate in the project of Advancing Science in Suicide Prevention and Promoting Mental Wellness for Youth. He/She will coordinate research design; liaise with community parties and institutions; plan, develop and conduct community-based interventions and training programmes for local social service practitioners and professionals; facilitate the collection of big data; oversee data collection and management; write scientific publications and reports; supervise junior research staff; and perform other duties as assigned.
