Applications are invited for appointment as Clinical Practitioner (holding the title of Dental Practitioner) in the Faculty of Dentistry (several posts) (Ref.: 499916) to commence in September 2020, on a two-year fixed-term basis, or a one-year temporary basis.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent.  They should also possess an annual practicing certificate issued by the Dental Council of Hong Kong and preferably be a member of the Medical Protection Society.  Ability to communicate in Cantonese and experience in providing outreach dental services to children would be desirable.  Dental graduates in 2020 of high caliber will also be considered.

The appointees will assist the team to perform outreach dental services, and evaluate the impact and develop research related to dental service for kindergarten children in the Jockey Club Children Oral Health Project.  They will deliver oral health education talk, examine children and apply topical fluoride, collect and analyze data, and perform other duties as assigned.  Enquiries about the duties of the posts should be sent to Professor C.H. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointments on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
