In this role you will work with the ARC Discovery Project – Deep Learning Architecture with Context Adaptive Features for Image Parsing. The main aim of this project is to develop novel deep learning architectures, training algorithms, contextual adaptive features and apply them to image parsing.

This project is being conducted in the Centre for Intelligent Systems (CIS) at CQUniversity’s Brisbane campus. The Centre for Intelligent Systems (CIS) conducts outcome driven as well as theoretical research in the areas of complex intelligent systems. A particular focus is applied technologies relating to ICT and Engineering applications.

Position Requirements:

  • Completed a PhD degree (or PhD thesis submitted) in Information Technology or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated high quality publication track record in computational intelligence and pattern recognition.
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing computational intelligence algorithms using Java/Python programming language and Matlab.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interpret and translate complex issues and ability to clearly communicate research techniques and outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team based work environment including contributing to the achievement of team goals and project outcomes.
