The Role

  • Continuing, Full Time
  • $85,632 to $93,613 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst

As the Compliance Adviser you will support the Director, Risk and Compliance in providing guidance and assurance around the Universitys compliance obligations with respect to internal policies, procedures, and standards, as well as with external regulatory and legislative requirements.

To be successful you will have:

  • A degree in relevant discipline or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Proven experience in detecting and responding to existing and emerging compliance risks in a complex organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead stakeholders in meeting compliance-related requirements

The Office of Governance and Corporate Affairs is responsible for coordinating the governance of the University and is required to provide executive support to senior committees of the University. The Office of Governance and Corporate Affairs is also responsible for providing advice to the Vice-Chancellor, senior executives and staff of the University in relation to University governance, internal audit and risk management, investigations/appeals and complaints, legislative compliance, legal requirements, policy management and records management. The Office of Governance and Corporate Affairs also assists with other administrative, governance and advisory services relating to the corporate organisation of the University, such as graduations, elections, University rules and delegations.
