Princeton University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a Lead PeopleSoft Developer/Analyst I to serve as an experienced technical subject matter expert for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions module. This position analyzes customer needs and develops PeopleSoft customizations, bolt-on solutions, interfaces, and reports for the Campus Solutions module. Duties also include testing, maintenance, and customer support. Works under the general supervision of senior staff and the Manager of ERP Campus Solutions (ERPCS).
Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert in PeopleSoft technology
- Research new features in PeopleSoft and related technologies and make recommendations on adoption to enhance current business processes or solve new business needs
- Mentor ERP colleagues and collaborate with customers on the best use of new technologies and functionality
- Analyze customer requests and recommend, design, and create customizations and bolt-on solutions in PeopleSoft
- Design and develop interfaces between PeopleSoft and other new and existing systems, both internal and external to Princeton
- Support the Registrar, Graduate School, Admissions, and Finance and Treasurer offices
- Troubleshoot operational and application issues and implement appropriate solutions
- Maintain and support customizations
- Apply PeopleSoft images
- Provide support during course enrollment and add/drop periods
- Migrate changes across environments
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a PeopleSoft developer/analyst
- In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture
- In-depth knowledge of Application Designer, SQR, and SQL
- In-depth knowledge of debugging and tracing PS sessions
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript
- Strong initiative and drive
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to keep abreast of technology trends; learn new skills and technologies; and lead the adoption of best practices
- Ability to multi-task between and among projects and applications
- Experience working with customers on business analysis, assessment of new functionality and requirements developmentExcellent writing, verbal and listening skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers having varied levels of technical proficiency

- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with technology teams across the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, especially Student Records, Student Financials, Admissions, and Campus Community
- Working knowledge of Fluid and PeopleSoft branding techniques
- Working knowledge of Integration Broker technologies
- Working knowledge of BI Publisher
- Working knowledge of AWE
- Knowledge of scheduling software (such as PeopleSoft Process Scheduler, IWS)
- Knowledge of Elastic Search
- Familiarity with change management software (such as ServiceNow)
- Familiarity with Stress Test tools
- Familiarity with COBOL
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields
