We are seeking an enthusiastic Post-Doctoral Researcher to work on the DAFM funded FitForest project which aims to provide critical information to assess the ability of key forest tree species in Ireland to adapt to climate change. The research, which is being led by Teagasc in collaboration with University College Dublin, the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute and Maynooth University, will collect new and important information on the adaptability of Irish forests to climate change to provide up to date information on the best provenances and seed origins adapted for future Irish climatic conditions. Outcomes from the FitForest research will provide critical information on the potential performance, and adaptation, of key forest tree species to future changes in the climate system.

Post-Doctoral Researcher salary scale: €37,874 – €38,417 p.a. (2 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
