Job Description Summary

Plans and conducts basic  experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. The Research Specialist will work on a project related to ovarian cancer biology. Our goal is to acquire new insights and translate important findings into clinically useful tools. The Research Specialist should have experience in cell culture and/or molecular biology. The Research Specialist will work with the guidance of a team of researchers (PI, Post-Doc fellows, and other Research Specialists). The Research Specialist will be required to perform different tasks including recombinant protein production and purification, as a well as mammalian cell culture. The candidate will maintain an organized notebook, participate in weekly project meetings and lab meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with minimum 0-1 year of laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. The candidate should have experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques, such as recombinant protein production and purification. Occasionally may have to work on weekends and evenings as project requires. Flexibility of hours is also required. The candidate should be organized, detailed-oriented and a team player.in research and clinical study methodologies
