Job Description Summary

This position is intended to help the Veterinary Nurses with patient restraint, running labwork and assisting them with patient care.

Job Description

Veterinary Nurse Assistant A- 1-2 years experience

Veterinary Nurse Assistant B- 2-3 years experience

Assist nurses with restraint of patients in the medicine ward in addition to running lab-work, obtaining medications from the pharmacy, stocking, walking patients, and assisting the nurses with patient care as directed. Hours are M-F 8-4


  • Must have high school diploma
  • Must have experience in a veterinary setting
  • Must have experience with patient restraint
  • Experience with difficult to handle patients
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • High noise environment and requires physical effort, specifically lifting 25-50 pounds, kneeling, crouching and bending, standing for prolonged periods of time.
