Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Gifts Administration, the Gifts Administrator/Sr Gifts Administrator will be responsible for processing gifts to the Wharton School as well as implementing University fundraising regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for confidentiality, accuracy and management of gift accounting for Wharton donors.
Job Description
The Gifts Administrator/Sr Gifts Administrator works with gift officers as well as other development departments within Wharton External Affairs and Central Gifts Administration to ensure integrity of all gifts and gift data.
The position of Gifts Administrator/Sr Gifts Administrator will:
- Work alongside Sr. Gift processor for Wharton School and administrative support to ensure appropriateness and accuracy of gift and payment application
- Interpret and Analyze daily fundraising and cash reports to ensure data integrity by reconciling adjustments and preparing dashboard reports for quality control
- Liaison with Wharton Fund Gifts Team by assisting with the accuracy of data and gift processing/journaling for online giving campaigns and class gift campaigns.
- Liaison with Corporate Foundation Relations and Wharton academic departments on corporate and foundation gifts and grants. Preparing online profiles as needed.
- Prepare Wharton Fund/Reunion Gift Agreements working with gift officer and coordinating with Central Gifts Administration.
- Communicate to donors and respond to questions
Qualifications:
- High School or GED required with a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience (3 to 5 years Sr. Gifts Administrator) in higher education, development preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Word, Excel and electronic communications
- Preferred sophistication with fundraising and alumni databases
