An exciting opportunity has arisen in our International Compliance and Advice Service at the University of Greenwich.

In 2018, we established the University of Greenwich International College (UGIC), in collaboration with Oxford International Education Group, and we are seeking an experienced Tier 4 Compliance Officer to work alongside the college to support it in all aspects of Tier 4 compliance, from CAS issuance to statutory reporting.

Please note this is a fixed term ten-month post (April 2020 – January 2021), providing maternity cover for the existing post holder.

The post-holder will work closely with Oxford International and UGIC, working directly alongside their operations to represent the University in all aspects of Tier 4 compliance. Reporting into the University’s existing International Compliance & Advice Service, you will support UGIC in ensuring that all Tier 4 sponsorship decisions are made fairly and transparently, in accordance with the University’s sponsorship policies.

This role is a perfect opportunity for an experienced compliance officer who would like the opportunity to expand their experience and take on the new challenges posed by working in collaboration with a private provider. Working in a largely independent manner and without day-to-day supervision, you will have end-to-end ownership of all immigration compliance operations within UGIC. You will be expected to help develop and maintain the appropriate systems and controls, whilst fostering excellent relationships with stakeholders on both sides of the collaboration.

Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and motivated, with extensive knowledge of the Tier 4 immigration system. You will conduct yourself in a professional and confident manner, with sufficient authority to act on behalf of the university and the Head of International Compliance and Advice. Full training and comprehensive staff development opportunities will be offered.

The post is based at our Greenwich Maritime Campus in Greenwich, London. For more information or an informal discussion about this role, please contact the Student Visa Compliance Manager, Paul Rees on P.Rees@gre.ac.uk on 0208 331 7670.
