The Faculty of Business and Law is keen to strengthen its already thriving research environment by appointing a Research Fellow in Cross-Subject Group focused on developing closer links with the corporate and third sector locally and nationally in the Faculty of Business and Law, within the Regional Economic and Development research grouping to extend the work it currently undertakes with the corporate and third sector locally and nationally through a new Regional Economic and Development Institute. This work brings together researchers from law, economics and the other specialist subject groups. Experience in research in one more of regional economic development, enterprise development and/or circular economy is desirable.
The research fellow is expected to make original and independent contributions to research projects related to regional economic development topics and to co-author good quality papers for publication in research journals of international standing. The Research Fellow will also be expected to identify sources of external funding, to support the writing of bids, help develop new research projects and to liaise and network with funding bodies and other relevant parties as necessary.
You will have a proven record of quality research publications, and experience of collecting quantitative/qualitative data in the field. Experience of writing funding applications and managing research projects in the areas outlined above is desirable.
