This position is represented by SEIU Local 2007 and the collective bargaining agreement between the university and SEIU Local 2007 governs the terms and conditions of employment.

We are looking for a motivated life science technician II to join the tumor model group in Stanford Transgenic, Knockout and Tumor model Center (TKTC). The candidate should understand basic preclinical study (PD, PK etc.) especially the study using tumor model. The candidate will independently perform tumor formation in experiment animals, drug formula preparation and dosing, in vivo tumor imaging and tissue collection. The candidate will also collect experiment data and analyze the data.  

The candidate will breed and maintain experimental animal colonies, collect tissues for genotyping.

Qualifications

• Two years of laboratory experience or two years of college coursework or a combination of equivalent education and relevant work experience.
• The candidate should be trained with experimental animal handling, surviving surgery, and be a quick learner for complicated surgeries. 
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated professionalism in working with colleagues (both internal and external laboratory users).
