About the Job

Casual opportunities are available for highly skilled individuals to join the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

We are looking for individuals who hold current registration as a Nurse or Midwife to join the team based at both City East and Whyalla Campuses.

Employment opportunities for successful individuals are available from May 2020.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this casual role, you will have a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia together with significant post registration experience, along with recent clinical experience ideally within a variety of clinical settings.

Demonstrated recent expertise, knowledge and commitment to contemporary practice and motivation to maintain clinical skills in a variety of specialties within nursing or midwifery will also be required.

Nursing and Midwifery students are supported with their clinical learning in the unique clinician led, authentic simulated Horizon Hospital and Health Service (HHHS) located on campus in state-of-the-art facilities that include fully-equipped clinical units including an emergency department, medical, surgical and post-natal units, critical care area, birthing suite, special care nursery along with a home unit and nursing/midwifery clinics. The HHHS is staffed with currently practicing Registered Nurses and Midwives (clinicians).

This role will transition to UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences Academic Unit as part of the organisational transformation.

This role will require the successful candidate to hold a current DHS Working with Children Check and DHS Disability Services Employment Check.
