The Department of Physics under the School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Science (EPMS), in collaboration with the Ogden Trust and the South East Physics Network (SEPnet), seek to appoint an imaginative, proactive and enthusiastic Outreach and Public Engagement Officer to coordinate its outreach programme.
The Outreach and Public Engagement Officer will participate in coordinated outreach activities across the region within the framework of the SEPnet. The post-holder will liaise with the SEPnet Director of Outreach and the Outreach Officers from the SEPnet partners, and will contribute to a broader widening participation activity.
The successful candidate will be a science graduate, ideally with a Physics degree and postgraduate experience/qualifications, and outreach experience. Applicants will be experienced practitioners with excellent communication and project management skills; above all they should have a passion for sharing the sciences with all ages.
The full time post is for two years in the first instance, immediately available and is based in Egham, Surrey. The College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park. It is close to both Central London by train and 10 minutes by taxi from Heathrow Airport.
