About the team

The Centre of Aboriginal Medical and Dental Health was established to assist the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences promote the concept of holistic health care and cultural security in relation to Aboriginal health and health care practice, research and learning. The Centre is located in Shenton House on the main UWA campus, however this position will be based in the Medical Research Foundation building at Royal Perth Hospital.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Coordinator, you will provide a high level of project support to contribute to a project aiming to improve the brain health of older Aboriginal people. You will work as part of a collaborative team where your ideas, experience and initiatives will be valued.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferably Aboriginal Health Training Certificate IV or Accredited Exercise Physiologist or equivalent training and experience
  • Relevant experience is preferred but not essential as an Aboriginal Health professional – Exercise Physiologist, Aboriginal Health Worker or equivalent
  • Ability to work closely and respectfully with older Aboriginal community members, Aboriginal health services and other stakeholders

Note: Occasional travel within Perth is required therefore all applicants should have a Current “C” class driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
