About the position

Bond University seeks talented Post Doctoral Research Scientists and Senior Post Doctoral Research Scientists to join an active team of researchers in the Centre for Regenerative Medicine. The Centre was originally funded by the Clem Jones Foundation to develop stem cell therapy for age-related macular degeneration as a core activity. The Centre now has a wider platform of funding and research and aims to achieve excellence in stem cell science and clinical translation. Current projects include therapy for retinal degenerative diseases, the regenerative and hematopoietic capacity of spleen, and stem cell applications in disease, aging and immunity. The Centre is generously supported by philanthropic and government funding and wishes to expand its activities in areas aligned with the goals of the Centre.

About the person:

Applications are welcomed from researchers, including those holding fellowships or grants from national and international funding agencies. Applicants should hold a PhD and evidence of research capacity in an area complementary to Centre research. Successful candidates will show a track record of achievement, and/or evidence of capacity to contribute to research on: retinal cell production from stem cells, degenerative retinal disease, hematopoiesis in aging and disease, or regeneration of tissue from stem cells for therapeutic benefit.
