The Department of Computer Science at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Computer Vision. 

You will be expected to deliver outstanding teaching and to undertake internationally leading research. There are opportunities to play a significant role in shaping and leading Bristol’s activities in Computer Vision as a member of Bristol’s Visual Information Laboratory (VI-Lab). We are seeking researchers with strong publication track records in leading venues, and interest in building their own research activity within the VI-Lab. Candidates with research interests in video understanding, multi-modal approaches (e.g. vision and audio or vision and language) and action recognition are particularly encouraged. 

The Department is an international centre of excellence in computer science, ranked 4th in the UK for research intensity by the 2014 REF. We are already home to significant activity in Computer Vision which benefits from close association with neighbouring groups in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science and Robotics. The University of Bristol is a leading institution among the UK’s Russell Group Universities and is regularly placed among the top-ranking institutions in global league tables. The post is being offered on a full-time, open-ended contract. Recruitment supplement scheme available up to £5K.
