We now seek a Deputy Dean (Research and Innovation) to help us lead the continued growth and development of the University’s strategies around research, innovation and industry engagement in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. 

Now is an exciting time to join us; our “Designing our Future” Strategy 2017-2026, sets out our vision, priorities and ambitions for the next ten years. This roadmap positions us to become a distinctive university that is entrepreneurial in nature, strongly focussed on our students and fully inclusive of all who want to study, work or partner with us.  

You will enable us in our vision by building on existing areas of research strength in the Faculty and identifying new opportunities for development to deliver a step change in research quality, innovation, impact and reputation. You will support the diversification of research income and secure growth in outputs, and transform Faculty engagement with industry, business and other external partners. As part of the Faculty Executive Group and recently established Research and Innovation Leadership Team, you will be a key contributor to the strategic leadership and management of your Faculty, and ARU.

We’re looking for self-starters with high levels of motivation and ambition, who will work collaboratively and in a strategic manner in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
