Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced applications and systems tester to lead the testing function within the IT Systems Development Team within the Learning & Information Systems Service at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or with significant relevant work experience.
You will work closely with members of the IT Systems Development Team which has responsibility for the development, implementation and support of cross-University business systems.
Skills will include
- Extensive knowledge of current SDLC patterns and methods
- Working in an Enterprise Architecture framework
- SQL and data querying in a test capacity.
- Knowledge of project management discipline and tools
- Work planning and estimating.
To support the university, you will need a good knowledge of current and emerging testing technologies. Experience testing in SaaS/PaaS environments and on modern ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365/Salesforce/SAP/Oracle. You must demonstrate a collaborative team approach with the ability to communicate and produce high quality documentation.
