Position Summary:

The Research Associate in Cancer Research will undertake grant-funded research in the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer under the broad direction of Associate Professor in Cancer Research. The Research Associate will plan and design new research projects, carry them out, analyse data and prepare manuscripts for publication. The incumbent will also be involved in the preparation of project activity reports and dissemination of findings via conference presentations. In addition, the Research Associate will contribute to the attraction of externally funded grants.

The Research Fellow in Cancer Research will undertake grant-funded research in the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer under the broad direction of Associate Professor in Cancer Research. The Research Fellow will plan and design new research projects, carry them out, analyse data and prepare manuscripts for publication. The incumbent will also prepare project activity reports and disseminate findings via conference presentations. The position will take a lead role in the preparation of competitive applications of external research funding and will supervise undergraduate/postgraduate students as well as laboratory staff.

Please note: Pursuant to the Children’s Protection Act 1993 (SA) this position has been deemed prescribed.  It is an inherent requirement of the position that the successful candidate maintains a current Child Related Employment Screening which is satisfactory to the University.
