Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Life Course Epidemiology in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 499582), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, epidemiology, genetics, or other relevant disciplines. A track record of publications would be an advantage.  Preference will be given to those with research experience in one of the following areas: (i) the use of machine learning to derive trajectories; (ii) Mendelian randomization; (iii) nutritional epidemiology; or (iv) the role of faecal microbiome in physical and mental health.

The appointee will work on the “Children of 1997” birth cohort, one of the flagship cohorts of the School of Public Health. He/She will make use of the birth cohort (n=3,500) to address important global health questions related to early determinants of physical and mental health.  The appointee will also write scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; and assist in general administrative, operational and other duties as assigned.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. Ryan Au Yeung at ayslryan@hku.hk.
