UPOP (UNDERGRADUATE PRACTICE OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM) COMMUNICATIONS AND OPERATIONS COORDINATOR, Gordon Engineering Leadership Program, to coordinate comprehensive communications, marketing, and general administration that enhances the program’s reputation and effectiveness.  Responsibilities include participating in the development, implementation, and assessment of strategic plans and day-to-day activities that support a range of internal/external communications, student engagement, and program operations; online content development, print publications and collateral, media relations, social media, event photography, and consistent communications with target audience; planning and implementing program recruiting and admissions processes; coordinating events; performing routine financial transactions; managing office space and storage; coordinating tech support; assisting with staff onboarding; and other duties as requested.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field; at least one year of communications experience, including digital communications, website, and content management systems; experience developing and managing social media and web communications and marketing campaigns; excellent interpersonal, organizational, project/program management, and oral/written communication skills; ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide variety of people; self-motivation; results-orientation; good judgment with confidential information/issues; attention to detail; ability to define and execute projects independently, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, adapt to shifts in circumstances/priorities, and work as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment; and proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and photography and image management using LightRoom.  Experience in the following preferred: higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, counseling, or other relevant field; teaching/advising college students; employer relations, recruiting, or other hiring processes; Adobe Creative Suite, a CMS (e.g., Drupal 7, Drupal Cloud), email marketing software (e.g., Constant Contact), and social media management tools (e.g., HootSuite); and Mac operating system, MIT systems, and SAP.  Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
